The Garretts invited us up to their lake house for a day vacation along with the Jones and Chambers families! We missed you Cole family!!! We had an absolute blast hanging out with our closest friends. Avery was very excited to leave on Saturday morning. She can now sense when we are getting ready to go somewhere. She will continuously repeat "shoo, shoo, go, shoo, go, go, go" while she is hanging on the door knob. "Shoo"=Shoe if you didn't pick up on that! 
By this point she was tired of waiting and was a mere second away from an absolute tantrum. We loaded the car soon after these pictures were taken. She doesn't have a ton of patience...and I have no idea where she gets that from!
The lake house was completely zen-like...complete with a hammock on the deck. It is a parents dream: huge open spaces and an extremely relaxing setting. Just what I've needed lately. Only downside...a crazy toddler and a lake. Good thing Mark was on Avery-Patrol!
After an awesome nap Avery was ready to play in the pool. James Thomas and Luke decided that the water isn't for them. She played for awhile outside...really, a giant yard is all this girl needs!
Then the boys decided to put the paddle boat in the water...the wind was so strong you could surf on the whitecaps. Seriously...
We spent the afternoon and early evening enjoying the beautiful, perfect spring weather. This lake house had everything you could possible need...
...it even had a pink Barbie jeep! What else could a toddler want or need?!?!
This morning we lounged in our pjs and had a yummy breakfast. Avery and the boys played a bit and then we all packed up and went home. We had such a great time and appreciate the Garrets inviting us up for the day! Thank you so much James and Lindsay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
