Well you've already heard about our romp in the bluebonnets yesterday, but that was just the beginning of this beautiful Easter weekend. Mark had Good Friday off so we've had an extra long weekend. This morning we went to celebrate our friend Wyatt's 2nd birthday at the best park in town. Don't let this sweet little face and dainty little outfit fool you...my girl knows how to get dirty with the best of them!
I think the Dads had as much fun if not more than the kiddos. They were out in the field playing baseball, mini golf, football...whatever kind of sporting equipment they could find, they were playing with!
This is sweet Wyatt the birthday boy...and he is all boy all the time! He is such a sweetheart and we had so much fun at his "Donuts in the Park" party this morning. 
Avery had so much fun running free around the park and playing on their playgrounds. She was particularly fond of the piano feature on the little kid's playground. She now goes down the slide all by herself...well most slides. Some are still too big!

After a very short nap, we have been enjoying this beautiful day outside. Avery and I played in the backyard while Mark mowed in the front yard. Then we moved to the front yard and then to the backyard again and then the front yard and so on and so on...I have a feeling that Avery is going to be a tomboy because her favorite thing to do is explore and get dirty.
We played with bubbles, pretended to garden, got wet with the water table and in the sprinkler, relaxed in the swing, climbed on the play fort, pulled weeds, watered the plants in the front and I think that's it. We're all pretty pooped but we are looking forward to more fun tomorrow on Easter Sunday! We hope you are all having as fun a weekend as we are.
