Sesame Street

***WARNING***
If you are one who does not believe in letting your children watch any amounts of television, then stop reading now!
If only my mom appreciates this post, then so be it!!! Let me start by saying that while we all grew up on Sesame Street, I was particularly big into the show. Every day I would yell "Street Mommy Street" because I knew it was coming on soon. So...when I flipped on the tv this morning and saw Sesame Street on the guide menu, I clicked on it and put Avery in her bouncy seat. She has been attracted to the colors of the tv in the past so I thought just maybe she'd actually watch it since she's older now and can see farther distances. And she did! She sat there and watched it for a few minutes until I decided it was about time for her nap. Yes people, I decided!!! I am all about Sesame Street and I'm not afraid to let my almost two month old sit and watch it for a few minutes. Before too long she'll be wanting to watch all that other crap that's on tv these days so I am okay with the innocence of Sesame Street:)

I don't even know who these characters are...they've changed it up since I've last seen the show!

As Matt's grandfather, a physician, always said, "Everything in moderation." While watching 2 hours of t.v. would not be ideal, a few minutes of "Street" every now and then is not a big deal. At least that is my opinion. I think she looks so cute intently watching Sesame Street!

Haha funny at two months of age Brayden watched about two hours of Barney or Baby Einstein on Saturday and Sunday mornings in his swing (Oh My Gosh) so I could get some sleep. TV isn't going to hurt them. Look at all three of my kids. They have always watched unlimited amounts but we interact with them too. And Brayden has made honor roll for two grading periods in a row. So throw it out the window. Its all Bueno babe.

Your post made me smile... remembering days that Claire would watch Baby Einstein in AWE! It all began at 6 weeks of age.. :) Too fun! Cherish these days! Avery is getting so big and is just precious.
