{ 4 months }

Cate Madeline is 4 months old today!!! I can hardly believe how fast time is flying and yet it seems like she has always been in our family. We can't imagine life without Cate and we're so blessed to call this sweet baby girl ours.
Cate's 4 month appointment isn't until next week so I don't have any stats for weight or height. Two weeks ago at her GI appointment, she was 15 lbs exactly so who knows what she is today. She has a follow up appointment with the GI doctor this Thursday so asses how things are going on her medication. Cate is talking and singing a lot and has definitely found her voice. She's very smiley and gives out some laughs every now and then. She is constantly sucking or gumming her hands and she just recently discovered how cool her feet are:) I just moved her to a longer schedule so here is her current schedule:

7:00 Zantac (I sneak in and give her her first dose while she's still sleeping)
7:30 Bottle 4.5 oz with her stool softener medication
9:00-11 Nap (this is just the time I would LIKE her to nap...doesn't normally work that way)
11:00 Bottle 4.5 oz
12:30-2:30 Nap (normally doesn't sleep for more than 45 minutes- we're working on this)
Another does of Zantac
2:30 4.5 oz
4:30-6ish Nap
Last dose of Zantac
6:00/6:30 Bottle 5 oz
Bath, pjs and read books and in bed no later then 7
Somewhere between 10:00-10:30 Dreamfeed bottle 5 oz

This is all brand new for us since we just started this new schedule yesterday. She wasn't sleeping very well and then started having a hard time going to sleep at bedtime. We also thought that she wasn't eating very well because we were feeding her every three hours and she could go longer. I forgot how trial and error parenthood is! Now we're working on weening her off her early morning feeding which she wakes for anywhere from 3-4:30 in the morning. We started Avery on rice cereal right at 4 months and I'm anxious to see if the pediatrician and/or the GI think it's a good idea to start Cate on cereal. I'm hoping that she just gets better and better and things continue to click for her. She's still having some struggles during her bottles that I'm going to discuss with the GI. But her mood and personality have been great lately and she's such a sweet, sweet baby! She's very alert and doesn't want to miss a thing. She loves her big sister and we all love her so very much. Happy 4 months Cate Madeline!!!
