Wildlife Park

Today we took Avery out to Bear Creek Wildlife Park to check out the animals and feed the ducks. It was like a very miniature zoo...they had lots of birds, owls, peacocks, bison, pigs, emu and a few other animals. Avery just wanted to run...on her own...by herself...not holding anyone's hand! *Sigh* I really hope she likes to hold my hand someday or ride on Daddy's shoulders. But she's too independent for any of that right now.
She really enjoyed the ducks and thought they were hysterical, but when the geese came swimming by with their loud honking, she was not too thrilled! It was the only time that she would let someone hold her- she was freaked out.

We checked out the bird/owl pens and then walked along to see all the wild animals. Just like the petting zoo at the rodeo, she loved the roosters. Again, she just wanted to run free...and boy did she run. Probably a mile:)

We are loving this spring weather and hoping that it stays around for good! I can't wait to take her to the zoo soon...I'll remember to use the stroller though!!!!!!!
