She tested her boundaries and tried to get in the pool a few times. I now know there was a reason why we didn't buy a house with a pool. So after being told "no" several times after attempting to put herself in the pool, she settled for putting everything else in the pool...like tennis balls.

Spring Break Dallas Style
Oh boy! What a week we've had. Avery and I spent Spring Break in Dallas and just got home this afternoon. We were supposed to leave on Monday but Avery got a nasty stomach bug on Sunday night. So we left on Tuesday and had an easy trip up to Dallas. However, Tuesday night I got the stomach bug which made Wednesday a simple, relaxing day. We spent a ton of time playing at parks, feeding ducks, going on walks and playing with the new water table that Grammie and Gramps surprised Avery with.

Avery spent a lot of time here in the dog kennel...she thought it was a neat fort! I have a dog kennel at home and am seriously thinking about pulling it out for her to play with. Not to lock her in it though:)

We spent most of our time outside since the weather was so pretty. Avery discovered the doggie door and thought it was super cool to play with it. Thankfully, she didn't figure out that she could have crawled through it.
Sunbathing after some water table fun!
We took Avery up to the mall to play around on their playground and she had a ton of fun as you can tell by the picture below. And I think Grammie had fun chasing her around!!!

We were planning to leave on Friday, but my car was acting funny so off to the shop it went. It wasn't ready until late that afternoon so we spent another night. And then my dad came down with the stomach bug. It was nasty, nasty bug and I was so sad that we spread it around. I'm hoping that my mom doesn't get it too.
As soon as we got home, we set up the water table inside (it's all of a sudden winter again) so Daddy could see how much fun it is! We had such a great time in Dallas and were spoiled rotten by my parents. It's hard not living in the same city as them...hard for them and for us. But I'm glad that they get to spend some extended time with Avery.
