What was I complaining about???

Okay no pictures today...I just need to vent. So I complained about Wednesday night being a rough night with Avery. Hmm...I didn't realize how bad it could get! Last night, after several hours of inconsolable fussing before bed, we put her down for the night a little after 7. Normally, when she goes to bed for the night, she is out! If not for the entire night through, she is at least out until 4 or 5ish. Well she woke up after being asleep for about 40 minutes and thus began our night from you know where. She woke up crying every hour to hour and a half. I think the longest stretch she slept last night was about an hour and forty minutes. We tried giving her the paci each time she woke up, but she would still scream and cry. I had to rock her back to sleep at least four times (and by rock I mean stand and sway back and forth-she didn't like it when I would sit in the chair and try to actually rock her). Rocking her bought me at least another hour of light sleep until the next round. At 2:30 in the morning, she woke again so I went in to change her diaper and take her temp. No temp but it was time for more Motrin anyways. It still didn't help. She was not interested in her bottle this morning and she is not interested in a nap either. This has been probably my most challenging time as a mom. I know she hurts and is uncomfortable but I don't know what else I can do for her!!! I don't want to let her cry it out since she's sick...I'm at my wit's end. Anybody have any helpful hints or things that have worked for them when their little one is sick??? I'm sure we just have to ride it out, but I am physically and emotionally exhausted. Sorry to complain, but who better to complain to than my own blog?!?!

Hey Mandi, I didn't read the previous posts, so I'm not sure what the dr. said, but have you tried oragel? Maybe she's starting the teething process??? don't know if it will help, but I remember those (still do unfortunately!) frustrating nights...you'll try anything!!!
AND benadryl usually knocks Brady right out!!!! don't call cps!!
