My baby is six months old today...that is half a year! Where has the time gone, really?!?! I blinked and all of a sudden I have this crazy, babbling, almost crawling, never still, teething six month old. It sounds so cliche but I really don't know where six months have gone. Where did
THIS little baby go???

She morphed into a half year old precious bundle of laughs and smiles! These last six months have been the best months of my life. I love this little girl so much that it brings me to tears sometimes. I love her so much that my heart aches, hoping that her future holds wonderful experiences, health and great happiness. After she goes to bed for the night, Mark and I sit up and talk about her future and all that we hope God has in store for her!
Anyway, enough sappy stuff...as you know, we take a monthly picture of Miss Avery in her green glider and with her pink elephant. This month's pictures were much more difficult to take! To say that she was interested in the elephant would be an understatement. Follow this time line of pictures to see what I mean...
Oh hey look, it's my elephant! I might eat him...

Hey, why did you take my elephant...I'm gonna get real upset now lady!
(after about 30 pictures and me taking the elephant away)

You mean mommy...don't take my elephant again!
MY elephant...

And now I will smile for mommy and leave my elephant alone...

In celebration of her half year of life, I made pink cupcakes for the half birthday girl! Of course, she doesn't get to have one. I'm planning on taking them over to our friends/family down the street so I don't eat 2 dozen cupcakes over the weekend:)

Avery had her 6 month check up yesterday which included our favorites...SHOTS! Daddy came with for moral support (mostly moral support for me--Avery was fine). Here are her 6 month stats:
Weight: 16 lbs-7oz
Height: 27 inches
Head: 43 cm
The nurse said she is still way above average for her height and head circumference. Her weight is just a tab above average. I feel like she's starting to thin out but grow really tall. She definitely has her dad's build...thankfully! We're taking her to Portrait Innovations tomorrow to have her 6 month pictures taken. I hope they turn out good and I will post them if possible. I'm not sure if they give us a CD of the pics or not.
