Not only was today Mother's Day, but more importantly it was Avery's baptism! I can't explain how special it was to have her baptized today, on Mother's Day, in the church that we love by our wonderful pastor. It was also so special to have so many of our family and closest friends in attendance. There were several little sentiments to Avery's baptism...the dress she wore was my baptism dress, her Pops (Mark's dad) was able to hold the baptismal font and the water used came from the Jordan River. My in-laws were able to bring some back with them when they were there last summer. But the service was wonderful, Avery did great and we had a perfect day. After church we had lunch over at our house. We are so blessed to have such great families and such supportive friends. I took lots of pictures so here you go...
Avery getting dressed before the service...I love that she was able to wear my baptism dress!

It takes two grandmas to get a hat on a squirmy baby...my mother in law, Lisa, gave her this bonnet that turns into a little purse for her to use on her wedding day!

The whole clan!

Avery's little cake!

The beautiful floral arrangement my MIL brought over

Relaxing with Nana after everyone left...by this point she was almost comatose

She was given so many beautiful cards and adorable gifts by all our sweet family!

Pretty pink cross & lullaby
cd from Lindsay & James, a tiny cross necklace from her
GiGi, and a too cute pair of dragonfly
bloomies from Uncle Brian & Aunt Catherine!!!

Several sweet frames...the silver one on the right is also from her GiGi and has the bible verse that Mark read in the service today on it. Jeremiah 29:11 is my all time favorite verse and means so much to me. It was beautiful to hear Mark read it today. He actually read verses 11-13.

Lots of Bible storybooks...all of them with sweet notes inside written to Avery capturing the importance of today!

This sweet shirt is from Billie & Tom (Mark's great aunt and uncle...I have no idea what that makes them to Avery...great-great aunt and uncle???)

Here she is hanging out on the couch after her one true nap today!!!
I was honored to share this day with my daughter! I still can't believe sometimes that I am a mom and I have this perfect, beautiful, healthy, happy little girl. She is the joy of my life, the reason I was put on the earth. I have always know that I was meant to be a mom, but having Avery has surpassed all my hopes and dreams. Sweet girl, you are everything to me and Mommy & Daddy love you so much. We promise to raise you knowing that God has the answers to all things and that he loves you so very much. You are so loved by so many people little Avery! May God Bless You:)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your whole heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13
