Library Lovers Old & New

I used to love going to the library...I forgot how much fun it was to explore the endless amount of books in one building. And I remember when I got my very own library card. I remember that little blue Plano Public Library card like it was yesterday. I carried it around in my Hello Kitty wallet like I was a true grown up. And now I am proud to say that my daughter loves the library as much as I did!!!
The library near our house is brand new and they have an entire floor designated just for children. We had been once before because we heard it was really neat. We checked out some books and two DVD's...Elmo of course! And today we went to return them all because it was story time. Every Wednesday our library has toddler story time and Avery really enjoyed it. Especially when the puppets came out. She went nuts!
Not only do they have a great selection of books and a really cool story time with puppets, they also have toys and puzzles. Let me tell you that it is a toddler's heaven on the third floor of the Kendall Branch Library. We will mostly definitely be going to story time every Wednesday and we're also looking forward to all the other fun activities the library has planned this summer. I had forgotten just how special the library is. I'm so glad that Avery is such a fan of reading and that we started at such a young age. I'm looking forward to all the fun times at the library with Avery!
