Happy Valentine's Day!

We have had a nice, relaxing Valentine's weekend together! My mom was supposed to come in town to visit but because of all the snow in Dallas, she wasn't able to make it. We missed having her but made the best of our weekend. On Saturday, we all went up to the mall to get out of the house and burn off some energy. Avery took Daddy on the carousel so he could see how cool it was.

After the mall, we met up with GiGi for a Valentine's lunch at Guadalajara! She brought Avery a special love monkey that flaps his arms and shrieks and sings. Avery has carried him around since but I didn't get a picture of it.

Then we came home and put out all of our Valentine's cards and gifts to each other. I wasn't very good at taking pictures today, but Avery got some new books, pjs etc. for Valentine's Day.

This morning I made a special breakfast of heart shaped waffles and strawberries in celebration of Valentine's. Avery wore her special bib that her sweet friend James gave her last year for Valentine's Day. I thought it was only fitting!
