Sweet James Thomas

Hello friends...I am asking for your prayers once again. This is our sweet friend James Thomas Garrett. His mommy Lindsay is one of my closest friends and their family is so special to us. Ironically, he is best friends with baby Luke who I asked you to pray for last week. These little boys live across the street from each other and their mommies are best friends. Lindsay has been such a support to Melissa with Luke's illness and now the tables have turned.
James Thomas was admitted to Texas Childrens Hospital , just 3 days after Luke was released. His pediatrician called with results of a blood test saying his blood cell count was VERY low. The were admitted to the hospital yesterday for more tests. They want to do a bone marrow biopsy but his levels have been too low. He received a blood transfusion earlier in order to do the biopsy but the levels have not come up enough. He will be receiving 6-8 more transfusions throughout the weekend in hopes that his blood cell count is up enough to do the bone marrow biopsy on Monday. We are all waiting on answers...he could just be anemic. But it could also be a blood deficiency, a worse form of anemia or something I can't even allow myself to say/think of.

Please keep this little guy in your prayers...Lindsay says he is being so brave and so good, but she is having a hard time, obviously! I struggled to understand why poor Luke was suffering so much and now that James Thomas isn't well either, it's hit me pretty hard. I don't understand any of this, I know I'm not supposed to. But these mom's are such wonderful friends of mine and it hurts me to see them hurting. I know that they both appreciate your thoughts and prayers so keep praying for Luke and lift up Lindsay, her husband James and little James Thomas as they have a very long weekend in front of them!
