11 months old

Wow...that is the only word I can come up with today. Not really, so here goes...How did this happen? How is my baby almost a year old? Okay, I do know how it happened. But I can hardly believe it. I remember putting the timeline on the blog, you know the thing on the right hand side that says "Your baby is 11 months old". I put that on the blog the day we came home from the hospital and I updated with pictures. At the time it said "Your baby is two days old" and now that timeline thing is telling me she's 11 months old?!?! I went by so fast and I LOVE the little girl that Avery is turning into, but I miss that tiny, squishy little baby too.

Here is what Avery is up to at 11 months old:

- She loves to eat and has 3 meals a day plus two snacks and 3 bottles...we're working on weaning out the bottle and formula. Can I get an AMEN! No more $25/week for formula:)

- She LOVES BOOKS!!! She will dump every single book on the floor and sit in her room forever and flip the pages. Give her a book and she's instantly happy.

-She takes 2 "naps" a day but I use the term nap loosely. I think we are on the verge of going down to 1 nap.

- She loves to be chased...she squeals and starts "running" the other way. It's so funny to watch her try to run.

- She finally learned how to clap, she says a variety of words such as dada, mama, hi and a few others I don't think are really words.

- She still has only half a tooth- that thing is taking forever to come in! But we think she'll be getting some more any day now- her gums are very swollen and she's been pretty crabby.

Of course there is so much more about Avery but I've said it before...she's still into everything, she loves to do laps around the house and very rarely will sit still to play with a toy. The vacuum cleaner brings her great delight and she loves to "pat" the dog and chase the cat.

Let the countdown begin...her 1st birthday is now only a month away but I feel like so much is happening in between now and then. I think it will be a long month, but then again it will probably fly by too fast just like the last year has. Happy 11 months Avery!!!
