To break up the long holiday weekend, we went to a fun park over by our house so Avery could swing and play around! The weather wasn't too hot and there was no one there so it was perfect. She loves to swing but has never been able to play on the actual playground because 1) she wasn't walking yet and 2) there are always a ton of kids. We started out on the swings...
And then we tried out the riding horsey. She thought she was hot stuff...Mark was right by her side but he let go for a quick second so she could do it herself!
Avery even went down the slide...with her Daddy of course! The hat was becoming a
nuisance to her so it came off right after they slid down.
That darn hat:)
I thought that she would surely love to climb through the tunnel since it was similar to the tunnel that she loves at
Gymboree. But she was surprisingly hesitant and never actual would climb through. This is as far as she would come...and don't worry, Mark was right behind her and I was at the other end of the tunnel. She wasn't completely on her own:)
She stuck close to Daddy's side and they watched the kids and families splash around in the pool behind the playground. We were all jealous and wished we were swimming too!
But before we left, we had to swing one more time...this time without the pesky hat! Did I mention that she loves to swing??? Next time I'll remember to put shoes on her so she can experience the true freedom of the outdoors and walk around in the grass!!!
