A new year

So it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that I've slacked on the blogging.  But I've also been slacking in the picture taking department too.  I used to take pictures of everything and I mean everything.  Now, my camera comes out for special occasions.  That's about it.  I plead the 2 kid case.  So here are some of those special occasions I was talking about.  First up, Sesame Street Live!  We went with Nana, Aunt Catherine and Brooks and had a blast.  Cate was in awe!  She loves "Elbo" and this was right up her alley.

Not that going to the museum is a special occasion since we've been no less than 1,241 times but it was still a fun trip.  We try to get together with our buddies as much as possible and we always have a good time with Vincent!

We went to the rodeo yesterday.  It's spring break and yesterday was value day.  To say it was crowded is a complete understatement.  It was insanity!  We didn't get to do very much because of the crowds and lines but we're going back on Saturday.  I look forward to the even ratio of parent/child.  Yesterday whooped up on me.

I love the age that Cate is at.  It's all about experiencing and discovering and she's so much fun to watch.  I remember how cool it was to watch Avery experience all these firsts and really get into something.  And it doesn't change from kid to kid.  It's just as neat the second time around too.  Cate loved touching all the animals and going on her first ride.  She was in heaven!
I think this picture might be in their rehearsal dinner slide show someday.  These two might secretly be bethrothed.  They are two peas in a pod, yin and yang, an old married couple.  Avery bosses him around and Vincent is just fine being told what to do.  They are too funny together.

Houston has so many fun things to offer and we're having a blast along the way!
