Our sweet nephew Brooks turned one on May 3rd!!! So off we went to Baton Rouge for his big birthday party...the girls did great in the car and we got into town with a couple hours to spare. We checked into our hotel room, freshened up and went to the party. Avery spent most of the time blowing bubbles and eating cake. And Cate roamed and got into trouble:) Brooks loved his smash cake and was a complete mess by the time he was done. Brian hosed him off outside!
The girls thought staying in a hotel room was the coolest thing ever. Cate stood in front of the AC unit most of the time. Our night went better than expected and both girls slept great. Once we put them to bed, we sat out in the hallway with our pillows, books and a few beers:) The next morning was Mother's Day and we all went out for a beautiful brunch before we hit the road. It was a great weekend and we loved celebrating with Brooks!
