{ 10 months }

Happy 10 months Cate Madeline!  How is this possible?  It gets more and more strange each month we get closer to having a ONE YEAR OLD!!!  All our recent spring activities remind me of this time last year when I was huge and pregnant and ready to have this baby...and here she is.  And boy is she a spit fire.  She has the funniest personality!  She is fiercely independent and wants to be down and playing all the time.  Even if she's eating in her high chair, she still doesn't want to be in her high chair because she's contained and trapped.

At 10 months old, Cate weighs right around 20 pounds and is a very tall girl.  She's actually taller than Avery was at this age.  She is now an official walker!  I'll turn my back to her for a second and when I turn back around, she's walking towards me.  She hasn't "taken off" yet but she's very, very close to be a full time walker.  She still crawls quite a bit.

 Cate is TROUBLE with a capital T...she is into everything and loves to make messes.  She loves to pull the dishes out of the dishwasher and wipes out of the box.  She still loves to pull all her books out and flip through all of them.  She sleeps through the night most of the time...key word is most!  She is still taking 4 bottles a day with about 30 ounces a day.  We are trying to move through solids but with little success.  She can eat squash and carrots just fine.  But sweet potatoes are not good and neither are peas and green beans.  Her GI doctor has referred us to an allergist and our appointment is at the end of May.  This has been such a struggle, such a battle.  But she's worth it all and we'll keep fighting through it.

 In two short months, we'll be celebrating this peanut's 1st birthday and we can't wait!  We all love her so, so much and she is such a blessing to our family.  Life without Cate would be so boring!!!  We love you sweet baby!
