Pictures from the week
It's been a heck of a week, but I managed to take a ton of pictures. We spent most of our time at home with a few errands here and there. We had open house at Avery's school on Thursday so we could meet her new teachers and see her new classroom. There are a few other kids from her class last year in her class this year so it was fun to see some familiar faces. Cate has had a rough week; at her appointment last week, the doctor decided to start her on prevacid thinking that she might in fact have some reflux. However, the prevacid did some awful things to her tummy and my content, sweet, semi-napping baby turned into a fussy, whiny, non-napping, screaming, tummy-gurgling baby. So we took her off of it and we're doing no medication. It's a long story with a lot of details but we're going to take the doctor's advice and go visit with a pediatric GI at Texas Children's. But we're not going to medicate her when we don't know if reflux is the issue. She is mostly back to her happy, sweet self now.

Mark is still taking his review class for the PE exam in October. So I am with the girls ALL day by myself on Monday and Wednesday night...this includes bedtime which gets a bit hairy. But I feel like I can conquer anything after getting them both to bed successfully. Cate is developing so much; she is now grasping small, light toys. She is able to sit in the Bebe pod seat for a small amount of time too. She's still a little floppy! She's smiling a ton, tracking people and voices, loving watching her big sister and really enjoying bath time. And Avery got a back to school hair cut today for the big day next Tuesday. Two inches were cut off and she looks much older to me. I love these days with the girls despite how difficult they are. I feel blessed to stay at home with them!
