1st day of school and other random tidbits

After a perfect Labor Day weekend with lots of time together, Avery started back to her MDO program at St. John Vianney. This will be her second year there and we have nothing but great things to say about it after a wonderful first year. She is in the Rainbow class and her teachers this year are Ms. Maria and Ms. Nanette. They have been teaching this class together for the last 21 years. I love that! She had a great first day and there were no tears shed at all. I was so proud of her! It's like we just picked up where we left off back in May.
Backtrack to the three day weekend...we were lazy, lazy, lazy but it was just perfect. We watched lots of football, did tummy time, went to GiGi's for a yummy dinner, cuddled, played and even went on a family walk after a "cold front" rolled in. The girls wore there A&M gear to support Daddy's Aggies and looked oh-so-cute. We need some Baylor gear too!

I of course LOVED having Mark home for a long weekend with no class or work! It's always nice to have an adult per child. I love these days with my family. I just know I'm going to blink and it's going to be a different decade. I'm trying hard to hold onto these feelings and memories while of the girls being so sweet and vulnerable. I love my family so much:)
