They have a new exhibit inside the Butterfly Museum which is all about bugs. It grossed me out but Avery enjoyed learning about bugs, or as much as an 18 month old can learn about bugs. They even has a kids section with bug books and puzzles and they did a story time with a spider. And they had a guy holding live bugs on his hand for the kids to touch...and don't worry, my child touched them! Check out the guy three pictures down and zoom in. They were pretty freaky looking!
We had a ton of fun with Grammie while she was here. She left this afternoon so when Avery woke up from her nap we had to get out of the house to we couldn't wallow in our sorrow over Grammie being gone. We took Avery up to Monkey Joe's and she had a good time jumping and running around. She mostly enjoyed the HUGE jumpy things that were for the big kids. She's a daredevil!
Avery wanted to give a shout out to Daddy on Father's Day!!! I love these two more than anything. Aren't they super cute?!?!
And then we knew it was time to go once the meltdowns began. She loves rides and we didn't have any change. So after about three minutes of sitting in a still ride, Avery lost it. And we went home. But we had a great weekend!
