This past weekend we drove out to
Madisonville, Texas to spend a few days with a bunch of Mark's family. His mom's side of the family owns some land and two houses in town so all of the family got together for an informal family reunion. In the past, I think they used to do this weekend get together yearly. But we haven't done it since 2005, right before Mark and I were married. And now since there are so many of us and the family keeps growing, some of us got to stay at this cute bed & breakfast down the street from the house. We had a great weekend hanging out with family--Avery got to spend some time with her Aunt Catherine & Uncle Brian. She hadn't seen them since Christmas when she was about 3 weeks old:( We hope that we get to do this more often!
Avery showing Uncle Brian all of her tricks...

Measuring cups were the toy of the weekend!!!

Taking a bath at the house with Nana...she is standing because we left ALL of her bath time gear at home- tub seat, shampoo, wash cloths, all of it!

Mamaw's grand kids and great grand daughter...
Mamaw is also known as
GiGi if you read this blog often. She is
Mamaw to Mark, Brian, Catherine and me, she is
Memaw to Andrew, Alyssa & Jack and she is
GiGi to Avery! Not confusing at all:) Whatever you call her, she is an awesome lady and we are so
grateful for all the planning and work she put into the weekend! Thanks
MAMAW!
