Today is our sweet girl's 9 month birthday!!! Again...I can hardly believe how fast her first year is going! We got up this morning and got dressed all pretty for church so I took her monthly picture in her glider and this is the one and only shot I had to take. She is such a ham these days!

On Friday we noticed a horrible diaper rash starting...after some research and a call to the pediatrician we've been trying to treat it as best we can. Thankfully we go to the doctor tomorrow for her 9 month checkup. Anyway, she's been spending a lot of time going commando while we're hanging out at home! She was standing in Mark's lap earlier today (without a diaper)when she decided to go
poopie...Mark flipped out and we rushed her straight to the tub to rinse off. It was classic!!!
Here a few things about Miss Avery at 9 months old:
- She LOVES to feed herself and she eats almost all table food...no more buying Gerber foods
- She says mama, dadda, nananana, yayaya, hiya, bababa- these are mostly sounds and not actual words, but oh well!
- She still has ZERO teeth but we're hoping they show up soon
- She loves to watch and play with big kids
- She still takes 4 bottles of 7 oz each plus breakfast, lunch & dinner
- She still can't use her sippy cup- it's mostly a toy for banging on the tray
- She thinks the vacuum cleaner is the coolest toy in the house
- She is walking...not all the time but will stand up in the middle of the floor without holding onto anything and take steps towards something. The most we've seen her take is 10 steps in a row!
- She graduated to the next class in the church nursery...this makes me a little sad.
- She is a cheese ball and starts smiling as soon as she sees the camera!

She was snuggling with Daddy on the couch this morning while watching cartoons. This is so very rare that I had to snap a picture. She is normally on the go and does not like to be contained in any way.

Happy 9 months of life Avery Grace! You are such a joy to Daddy and Mommy and we love you so much!!! You are turning into such a big girl and it's hard to say goodbye to each stage. We look forward to all that is in your future:)
