We have had a fun and full week...and we're glad it's Friday and Daddy is home for a few days now! This week I have started introducing Avery to more "table food" and she really seems to like it. So far there has been no choking but I've been watching her like a hawk. On top of the puffs and yogurt melts, she is now eating:
- Torn up bits of a slice of cheese
- Small pieces of bread
- Scrambled egg (not sure if this is good for her yet or not so I've only done it once)
- Small pieces of pear and pineapple
- Sliced carrots
- Blueberries
- Tortilla pieces
- I can't think of any more...I have lots more I want to try but I desperately need to go grocery shopping!

Yesterday, Avery and I went to babysit the older two Cole kiddos!!! Their mommy was out of town for a wedding, their daddy was at work and their grandparents, who were babysitting for the day, had a funeral to go to. So Avery and I went over to play with Jacob and Hannah. Except Hannah was napping when we got there and woke up about 5 minutes before we left. But Avery and I had fun with Jacob...
The romped around on the floor together- Jacob looks like he's tackling Avery but it was actually the other way around:) He was very gentle and loving with her...don't worry Julie!

Hanging out on the floor watching Lion King and playing

Then they decided they would team up and empty all the books out of the basket...really fun!

Earlier today, Avery and I went to visit Auntie Em at Learning Express in Rice Village. We always have fun looking at all the fun stuff and finding new toys and goodies for Avery. She discovered their piano and had a blast banging away on the keys!!!

I
see piano lessons in this girl's future.

She then told me that she wants one of these for her 1st birthday! Maybe my love...if you're a good girl for the next 4 1/2 months:)

Mark gets out of work early on Fridays, so he is home now playing with Avery so I can catch up on some cleaning, organizing and blogging. We have a fairly uneventful weekend planned, minus the impromptu garage sale we're doing tomorrow morning. Happy Weekend!

Yeah! I remember when Ian started eating table food! I was sooooo nervous! Anytime he coughed I just held my breath! I tried to never show my anxiety! He's fine now!! I know how you feel. Egg is great as long as you give her the yolk only. The white is a potential allergen!
Doing great mommy!
