To Grammie & Gramps House We Go

Avery I got to spend several days with my folks in Dallas. We drove up on Sunday and came home on Wednesday thanks to the monsoon that occurred in Houston while we were gone. Taking a baby on a road trip is taxing in and of itself but doing it alone and having a FLAT TIRE an hour into the trip adds a whole new realm of difficulty. We were fine but it was scary...I'm sure this is not a shocker to anyone, but I of course don't know how to change a tire. Didn't even know if I had a spare or not:) Anyway, we had a great time hanging out with Grammie and Gramps for a few days...

We went to visit Grammie at school and Avery got to meet all of her teacher friends

Some quality bonding time with Daisy and Elvis was also one of Avery's favorite things to do while we were there. They LOVE their baby and were very protecive of her!
Which of course tired them both out...babysitting is tough work!

And she got to spend some great time with Gramps while reading the morning paper.

We plan on taking a week long trip (or longer) to Dallas this summer when Grammie is out of school. I can't wait to get her in the pool and see how she likes the water!!! Thanks for letting us take over the house with all our baby gear Grammie and Gramps! See you in a few days:)
