Here are some things that Avery is doing at 5 months old...this is more for me to look back at and remember what she was doing at this age:
- She has been fully sleeping through the night for about 4 weeks now; she goes to bed around 7-7:30 pm with her last feeding around 10:30 (dreamfeed) of which she doesn't even wake up for. So she's sleeping about 11-12 hours a night. We start our day at 7 am but most of the time she is awake sometime around 6:15/6:30 and she'll lay in her crib and talk to herself, fall back asleep or Mommy eventually has to go in for a paci reinsert!
- We started solids a few weeks ago and she is now eating a variety of baby foods. She took to it right off the bat and she's a great solid eater. She is now eating pears, bananas, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas and we just started applesauce this morning...and rice cereal but we hardly do that anymore since she is eating so many other foods. But her favorite so far is definitely carrots! She will woof them down in a second. In addition to solids, she is taking 6 oz of formula every 4 hours with 5 feedings a day.
- She loves to sing to herself...it kind of sounds like moaning but it's so cute! And her feet are her new favorite toys. They must taste delicious because they are always in her mouth.
- She has become much more aware of her fur sisters Lily the dog and Savannah the cat. She loves licks from Lily! She really loved my parents dogs when we were up visiting earlier this week.
- She is definitely teething...you can see the little white bud! This has made for some REALLY crabby moments but with a little baby Motrin and these awesome teething tablets, she's starting to tolerate teething a little better.
I could go on and on and on about all the happenings of Avery but this would be a really long post. In a nutshell, she is growing, thriving and happy! We love our sweet baby girl and we're enjoying every day and what that day brings with it!
