Texas Pride
This afternoon we traveled out to the little town of Chappell Hill to find some good bluebonnet patches for pictures. This is where we went last year and we found so many great places for pictures. This year was very different; with the hard freezes this winter and the drought we're currently going through, bluebonnets were very, very scarce. This was one of two spots we found. We had fun on our little road trip (about 45 minutes outside the city) and enjoyed a little fresh country air. This is why I love Texas...I can live in the big city but take a little road trip and see some great scenery and drive some fabulous country roads. After some BBQ for dinner, we were all ready to come home and get to bed. It was a great family afternoon outing with a few cute pictures!
