We are still so giddy after finding out that we are having another girl! Everything looked great with her, we are narrowing down names and trying to get Avery to understand that she's having a baby sister, not a baby "
brudda" as she says every time. Excuse the quality of the ultrasound picture below. We don't have a scanner so I took a picture of the picture.
After the appointment, I finalized what I wanted to do in the nursery. Grandpa is coming down in a few weeks to paint the room a pretty shade of yellow. And
Grammie and Grandpa surprised us by buying the bedding I picked out for baby girl. This is the bedding and a picture of
PB's room that I'm copying:)
Avery continues to blow us away every day with the funny things she says and does! She got to go to the appointment with us on Monday morning. You can tell below that it was very early in the morning.
Aunt Meredith was working in NYC for several weeks and bought Avery this cool piano from
THE FAO Schwarz!!! She loves it and so does Mark:)
We went to visit with Nana while she was getting her nails done the other day. The nice lady offered to paint Avery's nails. She is still talking about the experience and her sparkly nails.
We have said goodbye to the pacifier!!! The "
Paci Fairy" came and traded out Avery's old
paci's for some special treats including the new shades, push pop and a Tinkerbell fairy DVD. She had a rough first day but doesn't even mention the
paci now 5 days later. Next up...potty training!
Avery and Daddy built this impressive
lego castle the other day. Mark was so proud of his work that I thought capturing it's glory in a picture was appropriate. Good job honey!
We are really excited to see what this new little girl is going to be like. It's hard not to assume it's going to be like Avery all over again. She will be very different I'm sure! I can hardly wait to meet her and hold her and introduce her to her crazy, amazing big sister. I love my little family!!!
