Sesame Street Birthday Party

This little girl will be TWO in just a few days!!! And to celebrate her second birthday, we had a fun Sesame Street party last weekend. So many, many extended family members and special friends came to help Avery celebrate. And we couldn't be more thankful for all of those who love our daughter! I took a bazillion pictures so don't get bored...
Avery and her school friend Nicolas!Mark made this street pole sign...thanks honey:)
We had arts and crafts set up everywhere to keep the kids entertained until Elmo showed up...
Thankfully the weather was nice and we were able to overflow in the backyard. Our little house was packed full!
There were mixed emotions when Elmo showed up...but not with my child. She was like glue to Elmo and wouldn't leave his side. He just HAD to come outside to play with her and of course he HAD to help with the pinata. The kids warmed up and I'd say Elmo was a hit!!! After the party guests left, our family stayed to watch Avery open her gifts. We asked for donations for Toys For Tots instead of gifts for Avery, but there were still some fun things for her to open.
We had such a great day minus me starting the day off with a nasty stomach bug. Thanks to my in laws who came over to help Mark clean the house!!! And thank you to everyone who came and made Avery feel so special; especially those who travelled far distances.
And to our sweet ALMOST two year old...Avery Grace, we love you more and more each day. You amaze us with your wit and charm and you are so smart it's hard to believe. Everyday is an adventure with you and we're so glad that God chose us to be your parents! We love you doodlebug:)
