4th of July

We headed up to Dallas for the 4th of July weekend and had an extra special trip! My two aunts were in town visiting and they both live up north so we hardly ever get to see them. And then my two cousins came down from Oklahoma as well, so we had a full house for the 4th. While we were there, we went to the Mesquite Rodeo and had a blast. Avery stayed up until 10:30 that night and did so good. She was a little fussy and fidgetty but did great and really enjoyed seeing all the animals.



Our family has always been spread out everywhere and so it was really fun to be able to spend a holiday with some of them! We were talking about how long it had been since we had each seen a certain one and it was many, many years in some instances. So we had a great time visiting and I was so glad to be able to introduce Avery to some of her cousins and to her great aunts:)
We went swimming, grilled out, ate watermelon, played LOTS of cards and did just about every American thing there is to do on the 4th of July...except fireworks! There's always next year but we just didn't have time to fit it all in!
