Our Garden
With the exception of a little rain lately, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous. I decided to buy some flowers over the weekend to give our yard a little color. We have a little side bed when you walk up to our front door that is overgrown with nasty ferns and is mostly mud. I do not have a green thumb at all...in fact it's purple! I aspire to be like my mom and mother-in-law someday who have beautiful landscaping and amazing potted plants and such. But for now, the $2.49 perennials from Lowes is a big deal for me. Last spring I planted flowers and they died two weeks later because I didn't dig the holes deep enough. Anyway, this side bed is going to be mine and Avery's special flower garden. Together we are going to learn how to have green thumbs. For now though, she gets to help me not kill the flowers we have by watering them everyday. I strapped her in the Baby Bjorn, the front way, so she could help with watering. And she loved it!
